Megumi tells him to be nice to you, but you swear you're fine. The smart-mouthed guy says you look terrible, and if you were desperate for help then you'd ask for it. He says if you're too proud to ask for help, it's better to leave you alone.
It shouldn't be about having to work so hard every day to earn your partner's love. Still, your days with Taiyo are as relaxing as they could be. His warm personality is getting rid of the suffering in your heart and spiking up your energy at work. He reveals more details about his childhood and the two of you just end up growing closer each passing moment, holding hands tightly and going out like a couple despite not being one. After that odd encounter at the beach, the mysterious man somehow managed to arrive at your place at the same time using a different path. Introducing himself as Taiyo Inami he claims to be looking for your grandmother Midori, who used to live in that house before you moved in.

He only seems to remember specific people and events of his life through food, reason why the sardine buns managed to keep your grandmother’s memory alive inside of him. You decide to visit the market nearby together in hope to help him recover at least part of the memories he cannot put together, but unfortunately none of the local foods manage to light his brain up. The more time you spend with Taiyo, the more you try to uncover his past. He’s been extremely vague since you started to live together, acting like he has spent his full existence under a rock and doesn’t really know what’s going on outside your dwelling. I’s been a very long and difficult day, things at work have gone extremely wrong and you have nobody to lean on in the hardest times of your life.
At first I wasn't sure if I was going to end up liking the title at all since the prologue wasn't enough to fully draw in me in, but I really am glad I gave it a chance since it was such a nice read! It's the type of title that isn't too dramatic, yet the plot flows and is engaging to the point where you get drawn in and are eager to witness more of this world you've become lost in. Are all the guys who live with MC going to be secretly famous? If so, then I am definitely wondering about the other two guys. My predictions are that the blonde one who “can draw” is going to be an architect or painter, and I have no idea for the other one haha. But they’re still quite nice and a step up from the older style of some Voltage games.
Otome Review: Love Brings You Home (Taiyo's Route) by Voltage Inc | PC Gaming Experience
Caught off guard, you race all the way home and trip, falling to the ground right in front of your dark house. And you're even more startled when you hear a voice asking if you're all right. When you look up, you see an outstretched hand, and a familiar face waiting for you...
Either you canonically go with one instead of choosing the other, the game will still see the main character and the man of choice as an official couple. So, despite some hiccups along the way I recommend playing Arata’s Main Story, it’s well worth the price of admission. The writers imply that what he does is okay because his intentions weren’t nefarious, but that doesn’t negate the fact that a strange man thought it was okay to barge into the home of a single woman living alone. In any other situation, Arata would have been arrested for trespassing, but because this is an otome game that fact gets swept under the rug. There’s also a kiss that happens midway through the route, that, depending on whether you consider the MC’s budding crush on Arata consent, is hella forced. But, what makes it worse is how dismissive Arata is about the whole situation.
Minor Characters
Confusion washes over you when he says you want to lean on someone because you’ve worked way too hard all by yourself, fingers smoothing your hair behind your ear tenderly. After a moment of hesitation you rush away from him when he opens his arms to you, stating he’ll be there to make you feel better and get rid of your sadness with a healthy hug. Each prologue also introduces all the male characters that have their own route in different circumstances, Taiyo is the very last one introduced at the end of the prologue before the game prompts you to choose the route you want to follow. All you want is for someone to recognize your hard work and be there for you.
He initally was just a stray but hung out at the station a lot and so the staff decided to give him his own hat and collar. He is a rather calm cat but dislikes being told he's gaining weight. He is petty, irritating, irresponsible and has his employees run errands for him; often uses these errands in exchange for something else. However, if one is unable to finish this task, regardless of excuses he will refuse to cooperate. Mr. Kato also overlooks people's hard work and without as much look at it, he dismisses it immediately and chooses something else he likes instead.
The MC is the same old obnoxiously useless girl, but she does have a few gutsy options later in the story and isn’t so bad I can’t tolerate her. Taiyo is genuinely affectionate as he prepares you breakfast and offers a warm hug first thing in the morning to improve your mood, which has been especially off lately because of how badly things are going at work. As nice as the guy is, due to your current frustration you don’t really want to live with an unknown person around and thus you have all the intentions in the world to make Taiyo leave your place as soon as he can. And yet, his gentle embrace and the sweetest manners you could ever find in a guy are rapidly getting right to your heart, Taiyo’s voice soaked in sadness when he declares to have no place where he truly belongs out there.

Probably one of the stranger aspects these characters have is the more gentlemanly side. Often doing little tasks such as opening doors, taking notice if you’re in a bad situation, or even going out of their way to help you with something small. Never forget the saltiness though, these characters will come after you with a snarky remark.
With all the flashier titles in their catalog, Love Calls You Home is one of their underrated gems. It doesn’t come with all the gimmicks and angst of some of their more popular Otome Romance titles, so it’s pretty easy to overlook this unassuming slice-of-life romance. The only “gimmick” is that a majority of the guys are secretly famous or have lucrative careers. I kind of got the impression that this was what Voltage was going for with their older title, Serendipity Next Door, which has a similar premise. Those bits aside, I did enjoy playing Arata’s main story, the premise was good and the pacing was really well done.

You live alone in your late grandmother’s seaside house in Gokurakuji. Up to this point it’s literally impossible for you to send the poor thing away, so you decide to let him stay in the guest cottage built into the backyard. The MC in this game is one of my favorite Voltage Inc. heroines because she is just so relatable. We’ve all at some point or another had to deal with crappy bosses and jobs and feelings of worthlessness.
Arata is a solidkuuderelove interest, so if you’re not a fan of characters that are initially cold towards the MC, you might find Arata’s behavior earlier in the route a bit frustrating. However, he clearly grows as a character, and it’s nice to see their relationship develop in a natural way . I also really loved how Arata became a source of support for the MC, it’s not often that you see this kind of role reversal in otome games and I’d love to see more of it in the other routes.
